Mr. Jeffrey Lam, GBM, GBS, JP

​Mr. Jeffrey Lam has over 40 years of experience in the commercial and industrial sectors, covering manufacturing, business promotion, IT development, and investment. He is currently a Non-official Member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR and serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director for several listed companies in Hong Kong.

Mr. Lam’s current roles include:

• Chairman of the Vocational Training Council

• Member of the Advisory Committee on the Northern Metropolis of the HKSAR

• Member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board

• Council Member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce

• General Committee Member of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries

• Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council

• Honorary Member of the PolyU Court

 

Mr. Lam was also a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the Legislative Council of HKSAR, and a general committee member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Lam has also been actively involved in other public services. He was a Member of the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AA) for eight years. He also served as Chairman of the Complaints Committee of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and as a Non-Executive Director of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited.

 

Mr. Lam received the “Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong” in 1989 and the “Outstanding Achievement Award – Hong Kong Toys Industry” in 1999. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the commercial and industrial sectors, he was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1996, awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2011, and honored with the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2023.
