Edward is an Executive Committee Member of HKAIIA and Chairman of the Innovation & Transformation Committee. He brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience in digital transformation. He accelerates enterprise innovation through AI‑driven transformation and the “AI x EI (Enterprise Intelligence)” framework, enabling organizations to unlock business value. Edward previously served as the General Manager, APAC of a publicly listed technology company with a market capitalization of HKD 50 billion, and as the COO, ASEAN for one of Microsoft’s leading Global Gold Partners and achieving 12 times Partner of Year awards.
About Edward Lau
On behalf of the Innovation & Transformation Committee, Edward delivers corporate training programs to well-known organizations, including CLP, Hong Kong Housing Society, Dr. Martens, as well as public AI workshops.
He frequently served as a panel judge for major innovation and technology competitions, including China Media Group and CCTV “Win in AI+”, World Summit Awards (United Nations SDGs alliance), Hong Kong ICT Awards, and HKTDC x Angel Investment Foundation Venture Competition.
Edward is among the first cohort in Hong Kong to be certified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as a MITT-Certified Data Asset Manager (Advanced Level). He is appointed as the AI Partner for the Hong Kong Centre of Data Asset Trading and Applications, the Vice Chairman of IT and Strategic Development (HK) for the Institute of Certified Management Accountants Australia, and the Vice Chairman of New Economy for Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association. Edward is also appointed as the National Expert for World Summit Awards (United Nations SDGs alliance). He is currently serving as an advisor to an AI unicorn and multiple AI startups.
