1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at www.aiiahk.com (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you should discontinue use of the Website immediately.

These Terms apply to all visitors, members, event registrants, and any other users of the Website.

2. About HKAIIA

The Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Industries Association Limited (“HKAIIA”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a member-governed private company registered under the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Our registered office is at Unit 1212, 12/F, Harbour Crystal Centre, 100 Granville Road, Tsim Sha Tsui East, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR.

3. Use of Website

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, the Website by any third party. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

  • Automated scraping, crawling, or harvesting of content without prior written permission
  • Interfering with or disrupting the Website or servers connected to it
  • Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation
  • Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Using the Website to distribute unsolicited communications or advertisements

4. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website — including text, images, graphics, logos, trademarks, design elements, and software — is the property of HKAIIA or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without prior written permission from HKAIIA.

The HKAIIA logo and brand marks are subject to specific usage guidelines. You must not:

  • Change the alignment or alter the spacing of the logo
  • Squeeze, stretch, or distort the logo
  • Change the logo colours or typeface
  • Add outlines, drop shadows, or other effects
  • Change the order or arrangement of logo elements
  • Use the logo without maintaining the minimum clear space specified in our brand guidelines

5. User-Submitted Content

Information submitted through the Website — including contact forms, event registrations, and membership applications — is subject to our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

By submitting information, you grant HKAIIA the right to use such information for the purposes stated in our Privacy Policy, including but not limited to processing your enquiry, registration, or application.

6. Event Registration and Payment

6.1. Event registration through the Website constitutes a binding commitment to attend. Registrations are confirmed upon receipt of payment.

6.2. Cancellation and refund policy:

  • Cancellations made more than seven (7) days before the event date are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made seven (7) days or fewer before the event date are not eligible for a refund.
  • Substitutions (sending an alternative attendee from the same organisation) are permitted at any time.

6.3. Payment must be completed within three (3) business days of registration via FPS (Faster Payment System) or bank transfer as specified on the event page.

6.4. Event registrations are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed in writing by HKAIIA.

6.5. HKAIIA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events. In the event of cancellation by HKAIIA, registered attendees will receive a full refund.

7. Membership

7.1. Membership of HKAIIA is subject to approval by the Executive Committee. HKAIIA reserves the right to reject any application without providing reasons.

7.2. Membership is annual and subject to renewal. The membership fee is non-refundable once registration is completed.

7.3. HKAIIA may terminate or suspend a membership if the member breaches these Terms, acts in a manner that is detrimental to the association, or fails to pay the annual membership fee.

7.4. Members are expected to comply with these Terms and any policies or codes of conduct published by HKAIIA from time to time.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1. The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. HKAIIA makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the Website or its content.

8.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, HKAIIA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of the Website.

8.3. HKAIIA’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website shall not exceed the amount of fees paid by you to HKAIIA in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. External Links

The Website may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for convenience only. HKAIIA does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. Accessing external links is at your own risk.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HKAIIA, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with your breach of these Terms or your use of the Website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unenforceable, or illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

HKAIIA reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Website following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
