The Hong Kong Artificial Intelligence Industries Association (HKAIIA) was officially launched at an opening ceremony held at Harbour Crystal Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui East, attended by founding members, honorary advisors, and industry leaders.
The ceremony marked the beginning of HKAIIA’s mission to accelerate practical AI adoption across Hong Kong’s industries. Founded by directors of seven main board listed companies with a combined market capitalisation exceeding HK$180 billion, HKAIIA brings together cross-sector leadership to bridge the gap between AI innovation and real-world business applications.
Honorary advisors including The Hon. Alfred Sit, former Secretary for Innovation and Technology, and Dr. Roy Chung GBS BBS JP, Honorary President of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, were present to offer their support.
“Our mission is to build a collaborative platform that promotes, enables, and accelerates the adoption of AI across all sectors of Hong Kong’s economy,” said the late Founding Chairman Professor KB Chan MH at the ceremony.
