Mr. Luther Wong

Mr. Luther Wong was born in Hong Kong and completed his Diploma and Higher Certificate in Chemical Technology at the Hong Kong Polytechnic. In 1998, he was awarded Associate Fellow by the Hong Kong Institution of Professional Assessors. In 2015, he was appointed a Non-official Justice of the Peace by the HKSAR Government. He has served as a Standing Committee Member of the Liaoning Provincial CPPCC since 2005, and as Hong Kong District Convenor.

From 1981 to 1984, he worked as a PCB manufacturing engineer and precious metals recovery chemist. In 1984, he joined Lea Ronal (Asia) Limited (now merged into DuPont), and in 1992 became Asia CEO. In 2002, he co-founded Sprint Environmental Technologies Ltd. with European Swiss partners, headquartered in Hong Kong with operations in Shenzhen/Dongguan and Vietnam.

In addition to founding Sprint Environmental Technologies, Mr. Wong has invested in and managed various enterprises, including: Protek Technology Limited (PCB plating line and equipment production and agency); Protek Intelligence Asia Limited (design and operation of AI smart warehouses for clients including PARKnSHOP, Cainiao, and DFL Duty Free); Face Group Limited (developing e-commerce business for contact lenses in Hong Kong); and VLF Ltd. (developing Disney licensed product sales business in the US).

Current key public service roles include: Standing Committee Member and HK District Convenor, Liaoning Provincial CPPCC; Standing Director, HK Provincial CPPCC Members Association; Committee Member, EPD Waste Disposal Appeal Board; Deputy Executive Chairman, HKAIIA; Committee Member, WWF LCMP Appeal Board; Honorary Chairman of Environment, FHKI; Council Member, CMA; Vice Chairman and Secretary General, HK Printed Circuit Board Association; Vice Chairman, HK Environmental Protection Industry Association.
